This site is a short, independent and neutral history of Gun Show Undercover, the investigation of gun shows that the City of New York announced in 2009 and followed up in 2011.

From 2009 this address held the City of New York's website for the investigation, with its videos, report and press material. From about 2014 the address forwarded elsewhere, and the original site has been gone since. This site is written by new, independent editors. It is not a website of the City of New York, the Office of the Mayor or any advocacy group, it has no connection with them, and it uses none of their text, videos, images or logos.
Our approach
We take no position on gun laws and publish no partisan content. Facts come from the City's own release and from news reports, including the views of critics. Nothing on this site helps anyone buy or sell firearms.
Why every page ends with a Dutch energy guide
The investigation ended in a report written for lawmakers, and reports of that kind lead to bills and votes. Each page follows that line from the report to a recent law: the Dutch vote that ends the salderingsregeling for solar panels on 1 January 2027. It then closes with the full Dutch guide on energie vergelijken 2027 from energievergelijken2027.nl.
